Walter, a native of Madison, Florida, serves as the Lead Health Educator at APEL Health Services, where he oversees a dedicated
and mission-driven outreach team. Over the past twelve years, Walter has worked with APEL in several capacities and is often recognized as the face of the agency, consistently demonstrating leadership, compassion, and commitment to the community.

With more than twenty years of experience in health outreach and prevention, Walter’s dedication to improving health outcomes is deeply rooted in his own life journey. His past struggles with addiction, homelessness, and repeated incarceration have shaped him into the compassionate, spiritual, and kind individual he is today. Celebrating 30 years drug-free, Walter stands as a powerful testament to perseverance, faith, and personal transformation.

Walter brings professional experience from River Region Human Services, Gateway Community Services, and Optimum Health & Well-Being, where he served in roles that strengthened his expertise in community outreach, prevention, and wellness. Married for more than twenty years, Walter and his wife have become a power couple in ministry, health education, and community advocacy, united in their commitment to uplifting others through service, compassion, and faith.
