Who We Are!

APEL Health Services Center, Inc is a 501 c 3 not for profit serving the medically underserved, uninsured and underinsured populations in Jacksonville’s Northwest Quadrant Health Zone 1 of Duval County. APEL program focus is HIV/AIDS Prevention, Street and Community Outreach, Prevention Education Programs, Testing & Counseling. The program offers extensive community outreach, both anonymous and confidential Oral/Rapid HIV testing, client-centered pre-test and post-test counseling, linkage/referrals and patient follow-up services.

2016 Gilead Foundation Community Grant Recipient

APEL Health Services is the proud receipt of the Gilead Foundation Community Grant. The Gilead Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2005, seeks to improve the health and well-being of underserved communities around the world.  Our giving focuses on expanding access to HIV and hepatitis education, outreach, prevention and health services.

The Gilead Foundation provides grants to programs in the United States and internationally.
